Realmild
has been successful in the service of systems integration,
combining differing disciplines and experience with various
systems, project management and equipment to meet specific
customer requirements.
Among projects under the flagship of Realmild is the Modernization
of Mine Counter Measure Vessels (“MCMV”) being
undertaken for the Royal Malaysian Navy (“RMN”)
which was completed in February 2007.
The contract is worth RM94 million for modification, upgrading,
installation, test integration and commissioning of mine
hunting sonar systems and navigation equipment.
The first vessels was handed over to RMN on 15 September
2006 as per the contract while the second vessels was handed
over on 15 February 2007, 4 months ahead of schedule.
Realmild
had also been entrusted by the Government of Malaysia for
the second batch frigates project. On 30 August 2006, the
Ministry of Defence, Malaysia had appointed Realmild as
principal beneficiary in the Direct Offset / Countertrade
Programme in the said second batch frigates project.
The
nominated shipyard for the project will be Labuan Shipyard
& Engineering Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of
Realmild. Subsequently, a Memorandum of Understanding for
the said project was signed with BAE Systems, UK on 8 February
2007 witnessed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia.
